Message from the Chairperson
Welcome to the website of the Irish Fund Directors Association, our representative body in the Irish Funds Industry.
Members are approved to act as independent non-executive directors by the Irish Central Bank or equivalent regulator. It is a challenging but intellectually rewarding role, ultimately responsible for the success or failings of Investment Fund oversight. We seek to share our experience and to constantly espouse best governance practice. Collectively we play a central role in the regulation of Investment Funds and Management Companies.
Individually we are proactive, enquiring and seek to ensure compliance by our Investment Fund Managers and delegates.
IFDA provides an opportunity for networking and support. Within IFDA you can share experiences and discuss current issues with your peers.
We have common ground with independent Fund Directors in other regulated jurisdictions and promote continuing, practical advances in Fund governance. We welcome the challenge, we make no apology for our standards and we appreciate your interest.
